Meet the Team (in alphabetical order) 
Russell "Cul-de-Sac" Artz
Russell, or Rusty as he is known, came to the team completely by accident, as the team was created in his living room. An Economics Major from the prestigious Florida State University economics department, Rusty gave up his Nobel Prize winning aspirations in search of an Olympic Gold Medal. But that didn't stop him from quickly earning the respect and admiration of all when he was unanimously chosen as the first and only team captain of the Deerlake Curling Club. With his almost Russian-like gregariousness and laser-like focus on the true meaning of curling (outdrinking your opponent), Rusty epitomizes everything that makes a Deerlake Curler a Champion.
Todd "Cool Head" Caito
Easily the most beloved member of the DeerLake community, getting Todd to join the Curling Club was a fantastic coup (it was the only team he hadn't been thrown off of). But like Captain Rusty, he overcame everyone's hesitation as it quickly became apparent that the team needed at least one person with some athletic ability. Additionally, the whole team saw the value in having someone like Cool Head who could needle and piss off the opponents (just by being himself), thereby disrupting their concentration at key points during the competition. Todd shares the dream of the Deerlake Curling team, to be standing on the medals stand, listening to the Star Spangled Banner, with a gold around his neck and still curling (his beer).
Brandon "Kidney Bean" Graf
As the youngest member of the Deerlake Team, it is Brandon that brings the upper midwestern roots of the sport to the club. His "whatever" attitude is as infectious as his ready laugh, and his versatility is what makes him a key compenent in the machine.
Kevin "Music Man" McGarty
Kevin quickly showed his usefulness to the team when his sisters created the very first DeerLake Curling Club's uniform tops. What his actual role in competitions will be remains to be seen, but it is certain that the hand/eye coordination he brings to his golf and musicianing will play a vital role in any victory. Kevin's limited drinking makes him an invaluable asset to the club, since clearly someone has to actually understand what his happening. It is expected that the Music Man will play a beautiful tune as he nimbly scrubs his sweeper down the ice, easily guiding the stone into the points.
Tom "The Senator" Talty
As quickly as it arose, Tom's question of whether he could be elected to the US Senate was immediately quashed by those in attendance. It was that same fateful day, though after even more alchohol, that he turned his talents, and dreams, to setting in motion the highway from Deerlake to Sochi 2014! Tom is known by many names, though not by the one he gave himself, T-Bone, since it is comingly accepted that people can not give themselves nicknames. The Senator's elegant coiffure is guaranteed to provide the right aerodynamics necessary to swiftly glide down the lane with his sweeper.
